Control integration engineer
Annecy, France | R&D | CDI | Starting date : ASAP
CIXI is an active mobility startup, developing products ranging from the Vigoz — an active vehicle capable of reaching speeds up to 120 km/h — to the PERS kit, a chainless electronic crankset aiming at revolutionizing electric-assisted vehicles. Our mission is to enable users to stay active during their daily commutes while reducing their ecological footprint.
By joining us as a Control integration engineer, you will be part of the CIXI control systems team and will be responsible for the software integration activities related to the control of PERS haptic and Vigoz dynamics, which are at the heart of CIXI's value proposition. Your main role will be to ensure the proper functioning and performance of this embedded control software through rigorous integration and testing phases.
Your responsibilities:
Integrate the various components of the control system software (motor control, PERS haptic management, Vigoz dynamic control) onto target platforms (simulation models, test benches, and vehicle prototypes).
Participate in the continuous improvement of simulation resources by modeling the mechatronic subsystems of the PERS or Vigoz (e.g., propulsion, tires, etc.).
Define and implement test plans, test cases, and testing environments (Hardware-in-the-Loop – HIL, Software-in-the-Loop – SIL, testing on real prototypes).
Analyze test results; identify and diagnose software and system integration or performance issues, in close collaboration with the developers.
Propose and implement improvements to optimize the robustness, safety, and user experience of the control systems.
Your profile:
Engineering degree or equivalent (Master's degree / Bac+5) in Automation, Robotics, Embedded Electronics, or a similar field.
Initial significant experience (including internships and apprenticeships) in the integration and validation of critical embedded control systems, ideally in the automotive, aeronautics, or railway sector.
Proficiency with simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink or equivalent). Knowledge of vehicle communication protocols (e.g., CAN) and continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins) is a plus.
Understanding of vehicle dynamics and electric power assistance systems.
Ability to manage a technical perimeter independently and proactively.
At CIXI we value engagement, intellectual honesty, and kindness. We are currently a team of nearly 100 people, and each one of us is an essential pillar for the achievement of our projects.
